The weighted average in your example above with the two trades, would bump the PL per unit up to:
10000.01/10001 = 0.999999.
I think the P/L per unit of 0.505 is more accurate than one of 0.99999, because if I trade 100 (or 1 for that matter) stocks per signal, my PL per trade would 0.505 and not 0.999999.

Thanks. Given the point of Fanus, it would perhaps even be better to report both statistics. I understand that this has no priority.

I can also see the value of having an “Average Trade” together with the Average Win and Average Loss already displayed in addition to keeping the PL per Unit.
