Using Signal Entry API from Excel…

I tried many times today to get my systems to accept my own unique signal id. Every time it did not work and I was given some other signal id.

I need my own unique signal id’s, because I am having trouble mapping the xml from the trade order into excel. Using “showdetails” I can get all the info I need, but I am unable to get the actual signal id to find out the cost basis of my trade!!!

(Initially I didn’t care about using my own signal id’s, because I was getting the signal id fine. But I then put in “excel=1” to stop the duplicate orders. Since I put that in I have been unable to pull it from the xml)

Here is some example order I wrote to create my own signal ids. Never worked once. Tried all sorts of ids.
