# Getting started API for stat managers

Howdy. I am very new on the collective2 platform as a strategy manager. Forgive my basic question.

When I look at the API, I see that under strategy section “how -to-submit-signals-to-c2” I cannot find what endpoint I should use.

Also, for my algo to work properly, I need to get current positions and shares.

I don’t see any docs on this under the strategy API.

Any help is much appreciated.

Sorry for such basic questions.

No need to apologize. We have a few APIs floating around, and the docs are a bit of a mess. I hope to get them straightened out soon.

If you’re just starting out, then use the most modern API (v4), which is documented here:

In particular look at

GetStrategyActiveOrders

and

GetStrategyOpenPositions

You’ll need an API key, which you can get by going here after logging in:
