I think the "Gainers this week/month" list title is kind of a misnomer, because it is actually the last 7/30 days and not the current calendar week/month. Am I right Matt?

Yes, I am working on that feature now. And your analysis of how months and weeks are calculated is correct: a week is the past 7 trailing days, a month the past 30 trailing days.
