Can we trade preferred stock as part of our strategy?
I have tried every different way of entering the order. Some even populate properly on the symbol drop-down prediction list on the order entry screen. However when I attempt to submit the order, it always comes up with an error message ‘Symbol #### appears to be untradeable’.
Is this a glitch, are we not allowed to trade preferred stocks, or am I entering it wrong? I know there are various ways to create the tickers for preferred issues at different brokers.
