C2 Strategies - Why are most of the strategies so new?

Good Afternoon C2 community!. I am new to this website and generally curious why there are no long-term strategies with proven track records to invest in. Also the majority of traders seem to have no risk controls in place with massive drawdown risks. Are there any strategies that employing diversification and hedging techniques?

Leaders are paying fees day one when they start a system so they want to attract subs pretty quick, so they may be taking greater risks.
The other thing is most subs are attracted to high returns which also causes leaders to be reckless. No one to really blame, just human nature on the the part of leaders, subs and the go between.

ETFCapital. Thank you for your insight and response. I would think that the Tortoise and the Hare strategy must be somewhere on this platform.

MatthewKlein,

Thank you for providing this list of old_timers. This is very helpful and provides very good infomation.

To find “old” C2 strategies you can also use the GRID : https://collective2.com/grid
In the column “Strategy Age (days)” you can put any number you want, for instance if you input >= 1095 days (3 years or more) and press enter you will find 55 systems that meet that criteria (as of November 13, 2020).
Please note that some systems have been abandoned (for one reason or another) and are no longer active.

It would be great if C2 eliminates inactive systems from the list. Even if it is a buy and hold strategy, I would send a confirmation e-mail to all system owners inactive in C2 for more than 45 days. If no response I would delete or at least hide them from the public.
