I am new here, I am going through the API document now and trying to get sessionid by typing this url in my IE-
http://data.collective2.com/cgiperl/xml.mpl?cmd=getsessionid&userlogin=ycm119@gmail.com&pw=iam119&clientid=myclientXXX
but I always get an error message - Well, ain’t this the damnedest thing.
There has been an unexpected software error.
nothing else I can get. my DS password (XXXXX) is different from my login password, I can’t figure out what’s going on with this limited error message.
Could you please indicate where I am wrong and help out?

Simple typo. You are missing a dash.
URL should use "cgi-perl" (you are missing the - character)
