From the systems description:

Medallion X: 6) Maximum drawdown per month 10%.
Medallion CME: 7) Maximum drawdown per month 10%.
Medallion xPRO: 6) Maximum drawdown per month 5%.

Actual drawdowns 15.7%, 13.3% and 12.1%. Max drawdowns are broken in July, trading continues. So, could you please clarify what does “max drawdown” rule means in this case?

Also I am glad you finally removed that useless rule about max amount of contracts per trade. 4 it was, right? If you trade using martingale it is better to not have limitations, otherwise you will be losing. Without limitations at least you have a chance to be a winner for some time. Like it was couple years ago before that crash.

Now it is time to remove “Not a martingale” statement, max drawdown limits and “Risk control takes first place in the system” statement. Trader should be honest to his subs.

Probably just a lack of discipline, didn’t he blow up a dozen or so systems?

Yes. This is similar, if not identical. Works until it doesn’t.

Once he gets into a big trade and it moves against him, he’ll just keep adding until it blows up. Then start a new system/profile, and repeat. Blames biggest loss thus far on “first time in 15-year career” trading error.

I don’t think he wants to cheat his subscribers in purpose.
Due to his 1st position always drops in water, he had to add positions to restore the performance. Hence the volume is higher and higher.

Everyone makes progress gradually, although perhaps he blow up a dozen or so systems, I think it should be allowed for in the growth phase.

If have to subscribe to his system, perhaps 1/5-1/8 risk should be acceptable? After all, the price is very cheap. Let’s see what happens in coming months.

I checked the track record of “Medallion X” and highly suspected it is just a Grid & Martingale EA for GBPUSD, along with some manual trading on other pairs.

It is a general consunsus that the Grid & Martingale EA will blew up the account sooner or later.

The creator also verified this with his 15 years “professional trading career”.

If so, $35 per month is already quite expensive, due to it could do great harm to the subscribers’ wealth.

Hello,

  1. Thanks for your interest in my systems and being active on my branch.

  2. There is always a stop loss, the level of the stated risks is observed. If you connected after the 1st, your risks may be greater than the stated ones.

  3. Updated maximums for systems. We continue to move up the profit curve.

  4. Thank you who is with me.

  5. Thanks to those who criticize. It is very good if the criticism is constructive.

Hello,

Excellent result for a month on my system. Thank you for your subscription and interest in my system. Work in terms of optimizing the trading system, correcting errors, does not stop and is constantly being done for the further growth and development of projects. The system becomes more reliable and stable.

1) Medallion X (Forex) | + 53.9%, max dd - 17.2%

2) Medallion CME (Futures) | + 22.7%, max dd - 14.2%

3) Medallion xPRO (Forex) | + 22.6%, max dd - 14.0%

  1. Manual trading is based on the use of advanced mathematical algorithms that generate accurate entry and exit signals, as well as on the analysis of intraday currency futures of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME Group).

  2. Each trade is protected by stop loss. Prior to the opening of each trade, a risk calculation is made and only after that a trade is opened. Risk control takes first place in the system.

  3. Not a martingale.

  4. Maximum drawdown per month 10% (Medallion X, Medallion CME), 5% (Medallion xPRO). The risk for you may be more than 10% (Medallion X, Medallion CME), 5% (Medallion xPRO) if you connected not from the 1st of the month.

I believe no one want to criticize more, due to time is precious.
Keep honest to the subscribers and throw out the Martingale EA to avoid be stopped out again, should be the most constructive suggestion.

He is still holding on to that trade yikes!

Looks like go long gbpusd or go short usdcad.

I think he’ll hold the position until the price goes back or the account is stopped out.

Perhaps new email account, new username and new profile are in preparation.

Wonder if he’ll bother coming back this time. How many systems has he blown up now?

I think he will be back soon.
He has 15 years’ professional Martingale EA trading experience, he believe he could “help” some investors who has no enough knowledge.

This “professional” trader’s system and/or his trading logic used to be quite in line with the criteria of C2 Ranking System and had a higher C2 Score.

@MatthewKlein
Can you please tell me how to check his C2 score for now?
Thanks,
Best Regards,

Actually, this strategy never ranked highly by C2’s Score algorithm. Right before its recent crash (that is, just before August 15 2021), it was ranked strategy #131 (meaning: C2 ranked 130 strategies more highly than it, even before it crashed). The highest it ever ranked, according to the C2 Score, was as strategy #69, back in May 24 2021, well before it demonstrated its most recent trading style.

So I think this is reasonable evidence that the C2 Score (while not perfect of course), does a decent job of noticing trading behaviors which might lead to blow-ups.

P.S. To answer your question, as of today, the strategy is ranked #643, according to the C2 Score.

@MatthewKlein

Many thanks for your kindly reply and detailed introduction.

Based on my experience, the Martingale nature was clearly shown exactly from December 2020, the initial period of this strategy.

However, just as you said, no Ranking System is perfect.

It doesn’t matter.
