Futures trades will be restricted by IB this Friday unless form is completed

Hello, C2 People:

If you are AutoTrading using Interactive Brokers, here is a reminder from Interactive Brokers. (Brief summary: futures trading will be restricted starting next week, unless you fill out a government-required form in your IB Account Management sceen. Just to clarify, this affects all IB accounts, not just C2 autotraders.)

The message from IB (highlighting added) is:

"The CFTC has recently implemented a new rule, referred to as Ownership and Control Reporting (OCR), requiring brokers to collect information from accounts trading U.S. commodity futures products. The type of information required varies by account type but generally includes basic identifiers such as owner name and address as well as disclosure of individuals authorized to trade on its behalf.

To collect this information for your IB account, we’ve created an online form which will be presented to you upon your next log in to Account Management. For your convenience, the data that we have available will be pre-populated for you to confirm and you’ll only be required to enter information not already available.

Given the deadline by which the industry is required to comply with this rule, we ask that you log into Account Management and complete the form immediately but no later than the close of business of Friday, September 25, 2015. Accounts which do not complete the form by this deadline will be subject to trade constraints including the forfeiture of futures trading permissions and a restriction limiting transactions to closing orders."
