I made an account with MB Trading. Will MB trading work with forex on C2 or will I need to have an account with forex.com or Gain Capital? I know Gain Capital owns MB trading / Trade King. Just a little confusing. Thank you
Ally will take on what MB Trading currently supports which is futures, stocks, and options. US residents looking to AutoTrade forex strategies on C2 should look to Gain Capital for an eligible account that supports forex. Contact the C2 Help Desk (help@collective2.com) for additional questions or account opening links.
Hello,
I have an old Navigator Pro (new called Destop Pro) equities & Options account with MB Trading. I remember that MB Trading was a supported brokerage Collective 2 firm in the past.
Is MB Trading still a supported Collective 2 brokerage for?
Thanks.
No, we no longer support MB Trading. If you want to trade stocks or options, consider C2Broker - completely commission-free trading of C2 strategies. Nice.
Thanks for the reply. So this leads to two more questions.
Does C2Broker support me maintain my own manually opened positions while running automated strategies as we. In old days when I subscribed to an automated strategies, it closed ALL the per-existing positions.
If I move from MB Trading to C2Broker, can I transfer my account including the open positions to C2Broker? Or do I have to close the positions, move the cash out from the MB Trading account and then move cash to newly opened C2Broker account?
Thanks.
If you’d like to trade your own stuff, aka “manually trade,” you would need separate accounts as we no longer allow AutoTrading and manual trading in the same account at any broker.
Currently, C2BROKER is meant only for AutoTrading C2 strategies. Have a quick read of this article for an explanation: http://support.c2broker.com/article/show/59451-where-is-your-trading-platform-how-do-i-place-a-trade
Funding at C2BROKER needs to be in cash only. C2B has a quick set-up for ACH transfers which are free and can have funds available for trading the following business day.
