You’ve responded to me via email regarding this topic, but I would like to follow up.
Currently, C2 is incorrectly recognizing covered options. When I am already long a call option and I goto sell a shorter-dated higher-strike call, C2 will reduce my margin instead of realizing the sold call is covered. You mentioned that C2 was not recognizing these trades properly and that it would be remedied soon. I am very relieved by your response, but am alarmed by the fct that I am the first developed to bring this to your attention. I would think that stock traders selling covered calls would have encountered this problem already by now.
When do you think this will be remedied? If not, what issues are preventing a solution?
