Hi, Matthew, a question for you. If you can give some help, I will
greatly appreciate. If I subscribe to a system with trial period. After I
subscribe, the system owner changes the term. How will this affect my
subscription. Let’s give a detailed example. If I subscibed a system on
06/01/2006, the system has 14 days free trial, then charge $10 for a month.
On 06/05/2006, the system owner changes the term to 5 days free trial, then
charge $100 for a month. Which of the following billing schedule will be?
A. subscribed date 06/01/2006, charge $10 on 6/15/2006, then charge $100 on
7/15/2006.
B. subscribed date 06/01/2006, charge $100 on 6/6/2006, then charge $100 on
7/6/2006.
If the old term charge is 0, then what charge schedule will be?
C. subscribed date 06/01/2006, charge 0 on 6/15/2006, then charge $100 on
7/15/2006.
D. subscribed date 06/01/2006, charge $100 on 6/6/2006, then charge $100 on
7/6/2006.
Thanks.
The billing software has been updated periodically, over time, so it’s hard to comment on how it worked in the past versus how it works today.
The main thing to keep in mind is this. The C2 billing mechanism gives you notice about upcoming charges, and you can certainly unsubscribe if you don’t want to be charged. That way there are no surprises. That’s the fairest way to handle billing issues, it seems to me.
