The strategy description and your profile information is saturated with too many buzz words. Here is the list of your claims:

  1. clients include top performing global hedge funds
  2. institution grade
  3. long-short quantitative strategy
  4. boutique advisory firm
  5. Technology strategist
  6. MBA
  7. University of Oxford.

Don’t you think that many buzz words is an over kill for a day trader?

According to an old article in Futures magazine, 80% of the new futures traders quit active trading within 6 months. Less than 10% remain to be active traders after 12 months. Based on that criteria, I could say that you are in the top 20% of the futures traders.

Oops, I have to withdraw that compliment. You do not have the ‘Trades Own System’ endorsement on your page. For me that carries more weight than all those unverifiable claims of accomplishments.

What value does your post add FranciscoJimenez ?

Let the ACA guy advertise/describe his good strategy here, there is no need to critise him for whatever reason and I doubt that MBA and University of Oxford are buzzwords.

We have TOS on all our systems and it doesn’t cost money. BUT this is ACA’s thread about HIS system TickPrime SP500 not about ours.

Dear Francisco,

Thank you for your post.

On TOS:
As an Indian entity we are banned by the central bank from investing in global markets in any manner that involves leverage. This includes futures and taking short positions. So yes, we do not trade TickPrime SP500 on our own money or for that matter for any Indian individual/corporate. However, we do provide the same advisory to hedge funds and individuals domiciled offshore and incorporated by investors who are not Indians. If you are genuinely interested in subscribing, we can (a) perhaps setup a remote desktop session where you can see the exact trade being placed on the live markets & accounts, or alternatively, (b) tell you the specific quantities we are advising on before session begins and you can see those market orders hit the NBBO at the exact same time when C2 orders are placed. And finally, if C2 were to open up it’s platform for Indian markets, we’d be the first ones to go TOS.

On what you call buzzwords: We call differentiation.
Not many subscribers on C2 probably understand the level of analysis and thought that goes into building our strategies. We build strategies that go well with other instruments and strategies, this helps in reducing diversifiable risk and improving overall risk-reward ratio for subscribers at a portfolio level. TickPrime SP500 is not a one-strategy-that-rules-them-all system; we do not believe there is any silver bullet. Hence, it is important for us to communicate this differentiation.

Unfortunately, the C2 grid is a poor place for subscribers to find our differentiation… it’s filled with loop holes. For example:
You can not identify a martingale system from the grid; but you can, if you look at the standard deviation of leverage multiple.
You can not identify if a system developer has changed the strategy and the historic performance data may no longer be relevant; but you can, if you look at the Trade Timeline.
You can not identify if a system is a scalper or trend follower; but you can if you look at the Trade Results Histogram.
You can not identify if the strategy is purely algorithmic or discretionary; but you can if you look at the Trade Timeline.
You can not identify what caused max-drawdown (was the system holding on to or adding to losing positions or was it a period when the instrument was choppy); again, you can identify this from the Trade Timeline.

So you see, we are actually trying to market ourselves by improving customer awareness and showcasing how we are different.

Feel free to ask if you have any further questions.

Regards,
ACA
