2 short questions

Literally…

1) how do I place a trade signal for my system for shorting a stock

2) what does GTC mean? Next to Day and what is the difference between the 2?

You know, your credibility can go out the window asking those kind of questions.

as is the case with many C2 vendors. They think they can outperform the market, and they don’t even know basic definitions. Go figure.

  1. Choose SSHORT (Sell Short) to short a stock.

    2) GTC means "good til cancel." This means the order should remain open forever, until you specifically cancel it. This is as apposed to a DAY order, which is applicable only for one trading session.

Oh my… anyone want to head off the next up and coming question about the uptick rule?

Welcome to C2 ! Don’t be put off, and the best of luck to you.[LINKSYSTEM_29376872]

The uptick rule was eliminated. Oh the irony.

BE put off. Come on, NIgel. If a vendor does not understand the basics of trading, then (especially newer) traders should not be subjected to his luck.

Beau was completely correct in his assessment.

C2 is not about vendors making money by duping traders into thinking they know what they are doing.

BTW Matthew, is there a MIT (Market If Touched) order in C2? Can you add that if not currently available?

Ross:

Just a tongue in cheek comment, as it seemed a bit harsh for someone who was maybe a bit naive to think that questions can be asked openly, got unceremoniously pounced on by our resident rottweiller.

I just think some slack should be given. He is clearly not very experienced and didnt mind letting that be seen by others. However, to assume that he is trying to dupe subscribers and should therefore be ‘outed’ is a tad hasty. I am sure Matthew could show that there are only a few professional vendors with real subscribers on here, with many others being subscribers wishing to dabble, or just wannabe traders wishing to have somewhere to set up an honest papertrade record. I think the latter 2 categories of ‘vendor’ are by far the largest here on c2.

There is always another category of vendor, which just pays the fee every 6 months in order to judge everybody elses systems without offering his own trading expertise up for scrutiny.
