Can someone clarify which MB plan to use on MB trading. They have two:
MBTR - Flat Rate - $4.95 any amount of shares
MBTX - $0.0075 per trade with a $4.95 minimum per trade
The C2 autotrade page says:
$0.01 /share
($1 min per order)
I’m assuming this is a special price for C2 Autotraders? so do we need to have the account on MBT setup for MBTX or does it matter?
Thanks…
I contacted MBT for C2 pricing. They said I need to fill-in a form from C2 and submit. I emailed C2 help desk yesterday for this form and haven’t heard back yet.
Here’s the deal: MB Trading offers Collective2 customers special pricing on stock trading ($1 minimum per trade, $0.01 per share). That pricing is helpful for smaller accounts that plan on placing many smallish orders. Obviously, if you have a larger account and your per-trade size is large enough, you’ll probably want MB’s traditional $4.95 commission, which may work out to less than a penny per share if your orders are large enough. I can make no recommendations; I can only point out the options available to you. For what it’s worth, C2 does not get paid anything by MB Trading (or any other broker) for stock trades or for referring accounts. At C2 we assume you have your own broker, and can use any broker that is compatible with C2 technology.
Now, regarding filling out a form… I think that the person at MB Trading to whom you spoke may have been confused. There is no form you need to fill out any form in order to receive the special commission plan. You just need to email our contact at MB (sean at mbtrading .com) and ask him to put you on the Collective2 special commission rate for stock trades.
There is a from you need to fill out if you want to AutoTrade futures or forex through MB Trading. If you need that form, let me know and we can send it to you. But if you want to trade stocks only, there is no special form needed. Just email the address in the last paragraph and ask to be put on the commission plan you want.
Let me know if you have further questions about this.
Matthew
Matthew,
Thanks for the clarification. Please email me the MBT form for futures and forex autotrading.

After your post, Brian Field MBT Director of Operations e-mail me with the form. He was quick about it and I’m sure other’s on this post appreciated the effort. I already had the form from a year ago, but I asked him about the C2 pricing twice and I haven’t received a confirmation. Are they blowing me off because they don’t like to offer the C2 plan? I can’t get a clear answer on this.
Thanks,
Julio
Julio -
It’s a little less interesting than that. Sean, the main “C2 relationship guy” over at MB Trading has been away. He’s returning on Monday. I think everyone else at MB Trading has been waiting for him to handle these requests when he gets back.
So no conspiracy or ulterior motive - just typical small-company disorganization. When Sean comes back on Monday, I think he’ll help you.
Sorry for this.
Perfect…Thank you.
Hi Matthew,
If you have the MBTrading form to Autotrade forex through C2, would you be able to send this to me or is it something I need to request from MBTrading? If you can send it, please email to mark.moskowitz@gmail.com
Also, I’m not sure how often you check your private messages or what is the best way to reach you…but I had a question that I sent you yesterday. I know you must be extremely busy so if there is someone else I should ask please let me know.
Thank you again,
Mark M.
I spoke with the MBT chat line today and they said they enabled me for C2 stocks options and futures. Sounds like that’s not correct, can somebody pls email me the required form for MB futures? at mark_pey@hotmail.com, thanks a million.
Hi, Mark Moskowitz:
I emailed you the form you were looking for.
Regarding your other question:
Generally, the best way to get help fast is to write to the email address help-AT-collective2-dot-com. We’re working on improving our response speeds, but, in general, writing to the Help Desk means a faster response, since all of us look at the questions coming in and all of us try to answer them.
Matthew
Hi Matthew can I please get a copy of that same form, to mark_pey@hotmail.com, TY
