I was just wondering if any other vendors have banned anybody from posting on their signals forum? The reason I ask is, C2 has this one person that post on other vendors forums and he really is an ass. When he comes in he just clears the room of any person that would be interested in any interaction. I just noticed he posted on my Conservative Growth forum on 10-29-07. I just noticed because I keep him on ignore like most people do. I am tempted to ban him however the downside to that is it could be perceived as me trying to block wise assesment of my signal. Considering this person that would be highly unlikely. His posts often don’t make any sense and sometimes he even sounds drunk. I have often wanted to ask him “what it is you are smoking?” Anyway does any other vendor care to give me some insight as to how it has played out banning somebody from your forum? Thanks Rick Haines
Richard,
There is a small group at C2 that seem to only come out to denigrate honest working vendors for their own selfish purposes. I fail to see much of any value in their posts.
It is quite angering that they are allowed to proliferate as such without much reprisal from the community. I mean say or be constructive in at least a little amount. Most postings are childish I recently was compelled to simply delete two inane posts.
I don’t feel exactly right in doing so, but have had and put up with enough. Worst case - who cares if someone boasts and puts up atrocious numbers. Do these people have to really pounce around with even more derelect conjectures?
I know the answer to this and it is NO!
So there you have it. Banning these people may be the only answer for them to get the message - they are absolutely useless and will not be anything else, so spare the working herd or put up your own numbers.

If you could ban / delete him from your forum then he will post on the general forum and you will still not see that because you ignore him, so I am not sure how your suggestion would help.
Note that if someone who you are ignoring posts in a thread, you will see on top of that thread the number of posts you are ignoring. If this happens in your own forum, you can temporarily stop the ignoring. Or you can post a message like "I am ignoring individual X for reasons Y and Z, so I will not respond to whatever X writes".
Furthermore, I don’t think these people have a clue as to what a vendor actually has to deal with. I mean when the big boys get behind the curve - such as this last summer - when many were away on lavish vacations - and the market was bent on correcting. Their funds were WELL behind the curve. but did it matter? No. They were then afforded ample time to unwind unprofitable positions with the ensuing “artificially” propped up market.
And when the Fed gets behind the curve and signals one thing and then at a most significant time step in with “surprise” rate cuts to salvage bad decisions from borrowers and security architects/purchasers, who do you think has to manage around such events?
And then we have a tanking market and suspect economy roll into December only to get more bailouts and gift-bearing “Santas” to help with year-end performance bonuses and “window-dressing”. Again, who looks out for the vendors? Certainly not these naysayers that may be effective in their ploys.
All the while many firms and establishments are lent through hindsight to be substantially mistaken on many occasions (from what I’ve seen), yet are able to continue business-as-usual without having to endure scathing put-downs and name-calling from these nincompoops. From what I’ve seen, they should probably take their rants toward these other directions where it may gain better footing and be more effective.

Did this come as a surprise to you Gilbert?[LINKSYSTEM_28377802]
this "one person" usually is in response to someone who makes outlandish claims or stupid self-aggrandizement
If you want to keep "these people" silent, it would have helped if you had not proven them right about your chief-strategist-hedge-fund-or-whatever.
