My system ranks fairly high on the Grid for both Daily and 6 week stats. I’m wondering what the criteria are for a system to show in the Popular Strategies list.
I don’t see anything on C2 explaining specifically how systems are picked for the list.

I’m not 100% sure but I think it’s the C2 score. Go to the grid and sort on C2 score and you’ll see a list sorted in “Popular Strategy” order.
Now what exactly makes the C2 score is another question… it’s proprietary but based on previous comments seems to be a weighted average of multiple system properties (weighted by Mr Klein I presume).

My C2 score is 97.4…It’s still a mystery to me. o_0
I think it’s a ranking based on a weighted average of various system properties like Sharpe, Annual Return, how long the system has been around, etc. It moves around quite a bit as your stats change and as the stats of other systems on C2 change. Sometimes it can also change drastically during the day (e.g. -20 point swing) and then recover (making your system vanish from various lists then reappear later), I think because whatever process calculates it can go through a partially calculated state.

My original query is about the Popular Strategies List. I would think popularity would be the main component. I make the leading strategies list; high C2 score; high daily and 6 week popularity; and I see systems on the Popular Strategies list about the same age as my system.
Are you saying I’m missing something? That the popularity list is based more so on something other than … popularity?
I notice C2 agents don’t always respond in these forums. I’ll look for the official support ticket channel and contact them tomorrow. I’ll report back here whatever I find out, as others now, or in the future, may also be interested.

I think the popular strategies list is based on the C2 Score and C2 Score is not publicly disclosed but has a number of components with popularity being just part of it. I’m sure if your system keeps up its winning ways you’ll be on there before too long.
See, your system is in the Popular strategies list now. Though it might be because of the open trade value glitches on C2 today…
