Maybe you should age out some of the dead forums that appear on the main forum page. The last one has not been posted to in 911 days, and there are some beyond that without dates!
Send a note to the administrators; if they dont respond in 3 weeks, they will be removed. Since almost all relate to unused systems, they don’t add any value, they are just dead weight.
Or at least, maybe “archive” them to a separate “dead forums office” page 
whoops - I was going to suggest that inactivity for a year should be MORE than reasonable…
