Ideas to grow C2 community

Hello Collective2 friends,

I hope this message finds you all well. Just creating new thread to discuss ideas to help boost our Collective2 community and attract more members and subscribers. I’m sure they have spent tremendous of time and effort to build this community to what it is now and they may have a lot in the works already, but I thought this thread may be a good place to brainstorm and share more ideas with their team. Feel free to add your ideas.

For reference, I post the current unique engagement and activity for C2:

  • It terms of social media engagement, C2’s Twitter has 6550 followers (last post in September 2023), LinkedIn with 745 followers (no content posted), YouTube with 1690 followers. There might be untapped opportunities in these channels. Comparable numbers for other social-trading platforms range from 250K to 1M followers.

  • In terms of numbers, organic search traffic to Collective2, as reported by Semrush, is about 2500 unique click per month.

  • From the same report, Semrush reports that there were two campaigns Feb-April and July to August, which brought in about 900 and 400 viewers per month, respectively, which estimates to about $1000 spent per month. The amount of targeted ads campaigns seems to be low, so possibly the conversion rates for reaching invested-focused audiences this way has been very low.

  • C2’s newsletters sends out newsletters with case studies which reach users who have signed-up

  • C2’s Youtube had Strategy Manager series interviewing some strategy managers

With that in mind, here are just a few ideas to start on that could help drive growth:

  1. Boost engagement on social media: create more tools to make it easier for strategy managers to promote performance summaries regularly on external platforms, like Twitter and LinkedIn. A webhook could also be useful for Discord servers to inform already engaged communities.

  2. Content on C2 social media: C2 could add more content on their social media channels, highlighting strategy’s of the week, or investors’ experiences

  3. Educational workshops: C2 could organize, promote, and host webinars or workshops that focus on how to analyze and review trading strategies, so that new users may learn what to look for when reviewing their choices

  4. Enhanced Member Profiles: C2 could improve member profiles by enhancing the information shared in the strategy and profile pages. Possibly include peer recommendations (similar to LinkedIn), expand achievement badge program with certifications on investing (similar to Google certificates), and identify alternate profiles for the same user. These could help build trust and make new investors feel more confident.

  5. Affiliate Referrals: C2 could consider bringing back affiliate referrals to spread the word organically. Many influencers and content makers are always looking to generate revenue with referrals and often will often have very large and engaged audiences. The CPA is very low with this approach and engagement rate is much higher than with ads.

Promoting our own C2 strategies (on Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, etc…) is still the best way to promote Collective2, don’t you think?
