I also note that the end of day on the nasdaq mini’s (and most other index futures) is at 5pm ET and is out of sync with the ‘cash market’ close of 4pm ET. There is continuous trading on the mini’s until 4:15PM then a 15 minute break, then a 1/2 hour session lasting until 5pm, at the end of which the official closing price for the current calendar-day is posted. Trading for the next calendar day starts at 6pm ET and NOT AT 4pm ET. This is why we see ‘funny’ results posted on these products when looking at the prices on weekends or between 4-6pm.
