MATTHEW

FROM YOUR AUTOTRADING DEFENSE PAGE:

The trading-system vendor has no idea whether subscribers are using automated trading. This is a critical point. Trading system vendors simply publish general-purpose, uncustomized trade advice. The vendor does not know which subscribers (if any) are using automation to read this advice and have trades transmitted into brokerage accounts. (And thus the vendor doesn’t know which brokers are receiving trades.) The trading system vendor issues general-purpose trading advice, and does not (indeed, cannot) customize it for each subscriber. Trading advice is delivered instantly to all customers, at exactly the same time, with the same content.

UNFORTUNATELY, THIS ARGUMENT IS UN-DONE BY ENABLING THE VENDORS TO ONLY ALLOW AUTOTRADING CUSTOMERS VIA THEIR SYSTEM SETUP. I THINK YOU SHOULD CONSIDER REMOVING THIS FUNCTIONALITY. IN FACT, THE VENDORS ARE NO LONGER ACTING AS GENERAL PUBLISHERS, BLIND TO THE ACTIONS OF THEIR CUSTOMERS . THIS ALMOST PUTS THEM IN THE CATEGORY OF MANAGING PEOPLES’ MONEY, SINCE THEY ARE KNOWINGLY CONTROLLING THE DECISION-MAKING OF ALL THE MONEY TRADED THROUGH THEIR SYSTEM.
