Monitoring Open Orders

This may be a dumb question, but I’m having trouble tracking open orders and need some help. Today I had a system place a limit order, and it duly showed up on the Dashboard (“old” C2), and I got an email which I checked a few minutes later. So far so good. At that point I went to the system page for this system and there was no open order shown anywhere, and upon returning to the Dashboard this open order had disappeared from there as well. So there was no indication on the C2 website of any open, live order for this system. The order did show as live in my IB account, and no followup emails were received indicating that the order had been canceled. So presumably it remains a live order but is not visible anywhere on C2’s website that I can find.

So the question is this … how/where are live orders tracked and monitored? If not on the Dashboard or the system page, is there another location where this information can be seen and tracked? It seems fundamental to have the ability to track open orders continuously, and maybe I’m just not looking in the right place.

Not sure which strategy id or system id you are asking about, so my answer here will necessarily by non-specific.

But you can see open orders on any strategy page, at the very bottom, under “Recent Signals.”

I think it would be useful to be able to see the open orders on the dashboard.

Matthew … thanks, I hadn’t scrolled down far enough to see that section so didn’t know it was there. The system is RedCrest SP500, and this order did appear initially on the Dashboard which is where I park myself all day to see activity for all of the systems I follow, but when I went to the system page and returned back to the Dashboard it had vanished, although it was still a live order.

For me, the Dashboard is the most critical functional section of C2 for watching real time activity and tracking orders during the day because they do pop up there very quickly compared to email, which I have to manually click a Get Messages button to see new messages.

Hopefully the new Dashboard will maintain this functionality as well (all systems and open orders on one screen) or it would be very difficult to follow any system manually that, for example, places orders within 1-2 minutes of the close (like SMTiming ConserveVR), or generally keep track of things (had to get in another plug to suggest keeping this functionality on the new Dashboard).
