Thanks for listing the new electronic softs. That saves people from being raped in the pits.

does anyone happen to know the volumes being done on ICE for softs?

I’m a bit puzzled by this, as my Interactive Brokers feed shows almost no trading and little movement in the bid/ask spreads and quantities (as well as very quiet intraday graphs), but Open E Cry’s feed shows a constantly changing market depth. Go figure. In the meantime, I’ve been getting great fills in the pits, especially sugar.

I’ve been looking at juice. Bid/ask on electronic are simply horrible. Now, mind you, this is one of the scarier pits to trade, but it looks like electronic is much worse - at least from a market or stop order point of view. I guess you can enter limit orders and let them soak. But I like to have protective stops in place and pit will continue to be where to place them.

not surprising. My understanding of electronic meats (Feeder/Live Cattle) that the volume is also atrocious…

There appears to be someone trying to make an attempt at a semi-liquid market for e-meats. You’ll find a 20 lot on both sides of the market 5 ticks apart. (ie - 2 ticks above, 2 ticks below). But pit meats (Ymmm… sounds like a BBQ) certainly treat you better than that.

Uh, been trading it for 30 years…

In cocoa, sugar and coffee the electronic contracts are 2/3 rds

of the total volume.

Matt, please allow people to bet on China too. Please add MCH.HK futures (Interactive Brokers code). Full name Mini H Share futures on the HKFE exchange. Cheers.

Also if you can add the German Buxl futures contract - Eurex exchange - .
