Thoughts on Steady II

Greg … I’m using Interactive Brokers and trading the C2 signals through Tradebullet… Randy

Hi Greg

That´s true.Yesterday was a second trade and this trade makes a loss.

My result was yesterday 75$ win with 2 contracts.

I trade steady with the strategyrunner too.

And it is correct,C2 results are not always the same in strategyrunner.

Thursday was a terrible day for steady.

I lost 1275$ with 4 contracts.

This was the first week with a loss.

Hope for better times again.

Chris,

So last friday you didnt have a meltdown? boy i took a beating.

my broker invstigated and they said there was a glitch in strat runner software (they have fixed),doesnt help me.

it sounds as though c2 and tradebullet is a better platform to trade through.

For some reason they are getting different signals.

chris,

One more thought . i lost about 3 k on thursday on a 5 lot!!

Hi Greg,

Believe me, the differences between results published on C2 and results achieved when trading the system with Strategy Runner is causing us big headaches, and we already spent days and weeks trying to figure out why sometimes there are differences.

BOTH systems are getting exactly the same signals. I don’t want to become too technical here, but here’s how it works:

The signals are sent from a server running TradeStation to the TPAK interface of Strategy Runner. This interface does two things:

1. It distributes the signals to all connected SR servers

2. It sends the signal to a small application called “c2tradestation” which converts the signals and sends it to Collective2.

So the signals go to SR first and then to Collective2, but they are the SAME signals, and yet customers experience different results.

We spent days and weeks working with Matthew Klein from C2 and Strategy Runner to smoothen out the differences. We are constantly in contact with SR and C2 to deliver a 100% solution, but sometimes the irregularities are beyond our control as a signal provider:

- If there’s a server outage on C2 you won’t get the signals

- If a SR server goes down, your orders might be cancelled.

- …

We can only control our own server; SR and C2 servers are beyond our control…

Hope that helps a little.

Pete,

Now you know why I don’t like posts: I can either provide a brief summary which might be misunderstood, or I spend hours posting.

And to be honest: Posting is not one of my favorite activities.

But of course I want to answer all question that you (or any other trader) might have. Therefore please call me toll-free at 1-866-467-0747 or 1-312-224-8306 during regular trading hours, and I’ll gladly explain you everything you want to know.

Does that sound fair?

Markus

Markus,

May poor uneducated and barely speaking person put a word? Thank you.

I don’t believe you  Stats that is based on profitable period is meaningless. As exercises you can try apply “Steady II” to ER2, to see how the system can avoid losing situations. Yeah, yeah it looks good in ES so far. More interesting thing is when you have to stop trading a system and you never stop it. Looking on your systems presented on C2 I have a conclusion that you don’t know when stop the systems trading  Both CoinCollectors are pure gambling, SlingsShots hmmm…

You didn’t discover anything new. A system depends from market cycle. So creating of set of systems in C2 that will cover different cycles is marketable, because at least one system will work at any given moment of time. It’s good sales strategy I have to admit it.

As fact you advertise in C2 only profitable moments of your set of systems.

And blah-blah-blah… Sales, sales, sales.

Hi Greg

last friday I have had a loss of 500,but no meltdown.

So far Steady works good for me.

Be careful with C2 and tradebullet.

Few months ago,I has tried to trade with tradebullet the fox opening system. After two weeks I finished this attempt.

To many problems!

Read autotrade forum!

Perhaps it works better now.

I think, I will try to trade a other system with C2 and tradebullet in few weeks.

Chris

I agree with you completely Pete. SLs are the choice of professionals. Every trade should include them. Even a deep SL with a trail is better than none at all.

Gary

Hi Chris. How long have you been traded the Steady II? and what is the real performance?

I used auto trade the Coin Cllection 40 Min and 60 min, in three months, I lost 33% of my 50K account in less than 3 months and I stoped trade at Nov 05. At the forum, they are srill posted profit for the Coin collection for the last few months?

Dear Eu New. Your feeling about the Rockwell Mr Markus is mutual.

Best Regards

Kim

Wow, it is hard to believe you lost money on CC 40. The chart looks beautiful. CC40 has no trial period, otherwise I would like to try to see.

Hi Kim,

I am a a recent subscriber to CoinCollector40 and I am very interested in your experience. Were your losses accumulated over a series of small losess, or was it a single drawdown that killed you? How did it correspond to C2 stats for the same period. How did Rockwell Trading explain this behavior to you, if it contradicted their published record?

thank you for your time,

Ilya
