Autotrade OCO future orders with C2 systems

Dear friends,

I’m trying to autotrade a C2 system called Emini express, found out this system uses the OCO orders. In the past three days I always noticed the out of sync problems, then the newer orders were totally blocked by the out of sync order left on my broker account. The developer of the system (Emini Express) said the out of sync thing cannot be 100% avoided, I agree with him on this. Because of the trading systems difference s( i.e. the trading systems of his and my broker) and ever changing market conditions the two OCO orders on his and my broker trading systems will not always be filled the same way, then the out of sync will occur. Also according to the system developer, he suggests to use OpenECry, and saying OpenECry’s trading system is be able to handle the OCO order out of sync problems. My questions are:

[1] if any one on this forum has experience with OpenEcry, especially autotrading OCO orders from C2, please share your first hand experience to help me to decide if I need to trnasfer to OpenECry as my E mini future trading broker;

[2] please make suggestions how to handle the potential out of sync problems with OCO orders when using C2 autotrade.

[3] any current Emini Express subscibers here, please recommande me how get the autotrading work properly.

My deep appreciations!

Lyan

Hi Lyan,

What setup are you using? Is it TB/IB? When did you start auto trading and how much do your results differ from C2?

On My Analyst I commented about this system: "9/24/09 Trades about 40 times/week, commission 24% of gross profit, no system description"

I personally stay away from systems which trade so frequently, have no detailed system description, have such a short history and where we know nothing about the developer.

But since you are brave enough to trade it I would be very much interested to hear if you can make a go of it and if you can report in the future how it works out for you.

the Keep after worst case slippage on that system I believe was only about 12%… Typical for fast systems on C2…
