Collective 2 polling error for 60 seconds

I set up a C2-MB-TB autotrading system this morning and got this message at 10:50AM, 11:06AM and 12:06PM Eastern time. Each time TB disconnected and reconnected. What’s happening?

In grepping my TB logs I get that message ("(Connection) Collective2 polling errors for 60 seconds. Reconnecting to Collective2") occasionally as well, including 4 times today with some similar times(15:50 = 10:50am EST,17:06 = 12:06pm EST,18:08 = 1:08pm)

grep is a nice tool  These entries simply log request failures and TB will force a disconnect/reconnect if it gets two failures in a row. I wouldn’t worry unless the disconnection is permanent. I guess the C2 server is having a bad hair day.

Francis

Got this in my ITM window today:

Software error:

DBD::mysql::db selectall_arrayref failed: Server shutdown in progress at /usr/local/apache/htdocs/collective2.com/cgi-perl/msg.mpl line 756.

Didn’t notice when it happened though.

Thanks Francis,

I’m also missing a trade. At 13:46 PM Eastern I got an email that OS Extreme from C2 sent a buy signal. I have a simulated acct with MBtrading and Tradebullet was all green at the time. Tradebullet reported nothing (that I could find) and neither did MB trading. This is my first day doing this so I am not even sure where to start looking to fix the problem. I would appreciate any pearls you could throw my way.

William,

I would appreciate any pearls you could throw my way.

Funny you should say that, my wife told me the same thing recently…

But seriously, you’re not receiving any C2 orders because your C2 permisisons are not set up correctly.

1) you must enable long or short (or both)

2) you must set your trade size scaling

There’s a nice video to walk you though it.

Francis

Thanks Francis. My wife asks also. I guess that’s why we’re all here.
