C2 Members -
Just a brief note to let you know that we are investigating this morning’s platform problems. We have a general idea of what caused it, but are not yet certain. I will post here again when we get to the bottom of it.
I am terribly sorry for this morning’s problems (and, actually, yesterday’s similar problems – both caused by the same underlying issue).
I will report more soon.

Any update on this?
The problem was caused ultimately by the provisioning of a new computer in our data center that accidentally shared an IP address with one of our database servers. This in turn caused a sporadic problem which made it seem as if data in that particular database server disappeared, then reappeared, randomly (as the machines vied with each other for the IP, and bounced on and off the network).
The problem has been solved. It was bone-headed and I apologize that it occurred.
The good news (if any good news can be gleaned here) is that we upgraded our infrastructure and added more beefy CPU power, which will appear to our members as more spritely site responsiveness.
