Hi, I consider selling a system that is based in part on dividend income, and I want to understand if C2’s accounts calculates also income from dividends and not only gains from price appreciation.
In addition, does C2 enable trading only in stocks that are traded in the U.S. or also in stocks that are traded in other countries (not the ADRs, the stocks themselves)?
Thanks for your help.
- Yes we add dividends received (or subtract dividends paid for borrowed shares) to the cash available in your Model Account.
2) Yes, we currently do support non-USA stocks for: Canada (TSX), Australia (ASX), London (LSE), Madrid (MEFF), Germany (XETRA and GE). Support for these exchanges is pretty new, and there are doubtless kinks to work out, but I encourage non-USA system developers to give them a try and let us know what improvements we can make (mail us at help@collective2.com).
Thanks for the response.
I have another question: how can I be sure that I don’t publish my trading system, charge X$ per month, and other C2’s users just mimick it exactly and charge less $ per month so that all of my followers go to the other users? Does C2 take any action against such users? It should be emphasized that I refer to exact copying of my system and not to cases of a certain similarity. Also, my system is based on manual trading (and not a “black box” or “algorithm”) so that copying is easier to do.
Can you please answer my last question regarding copying the system? Thanks.
