It should be fairly easy to implement a message saying that the market for the particular instrument is closed (when trying to place a market day order outside of market hours). In fact, this is the standard practice in all forex platforms. C2 does have a warning that forex market closes 4 PM EST.
In case of placing a GTC order, the order can be put in queue. I’m not sure that you placed a day order as opposed to a GTC order. So, if the GTC order is not filled right away, it will be filled when the market opens, Sunday evening. This may affect the profit depending on where it opens. This should not cause serious trouble unless one is scalping.
