Missing dividends?

Hi Matthew,

It looks like there may be something wrong with dividends being credited in C2. TLT paid a dividend ("pay date") on 5th Feb but I cannot see any increase in the Isonomy system equity as a result and "Cumulative $" has no star against it and no tool-tip popup. There is also a payment due tomorrow - TLT pays monthly.

Funny thing in Isonomy Plus is that if you add up all the P/Ls from "Open Positions" it comes to more than the Open P/L in the "Model Account Status". The Cumulative $ is also lower and there is no star or tool-tip. So I suspect TLT dividends are missing from there as well since these numbers should be higher than the summed P/Ls.

Or am I missed something obvious??

Dividends are an important part of Isonomy and Isonomy Plus, hence my concern.

Dean.

Hello Matthew,

I still haven’t had a response to this. These two systems are now missing two sets of dividends, probably soon to be three.

I don’t like cluttering up this forum with individual bugs like this but I also wrote two emails to productdev@collective2.com which have gone unacknowledged.

Even an acknowledgement that the email/problem has been noted would help your customer service greatly. Reviews of C2 in other places that I have read point out the intermittent nature of C2 customer service as the main complaint. Other than that, C2 is a super idea done very well.

I understand that you are probably understaffed and some things slip through the net. Perhaps you could employ some freelancers (like myself!) to help with responding to your customer emails and tracking down, perhaps even fixing, bugs.

Dean.

Hi, Dean -

Sorry about that. Actually, we’ve been trying to make a real effort to transfer our customer service efforts onto a formal ticketing/tracking system so things don’t fall through the cracks anymore (which they surely have done, far too long, and far too often).

Looks like we’ll need to continue to work on that.

In the meantime, let me look into this and I’ll contact you via email to resolve.

Matthew

Thanks

Found the problem. We weren’t properly parsing our data feed for that particular symbol’s dividends. I’ve adjusted for the missing payments, and changed the software to handle this properly in the future.

Hi Matthew,

Unfortunately I have to bring this problem up again… I say “unfortunately” because this time “bank error in my favour, collect $107.52”:

I had an email saying that the [LINKSYSTEM_46561754] system is receiving a dividend of $107.52 from TLT. This is incorrect; the figure should be $8.96, or $0.32 per share.

What seems to have happened is that C2 has applied the whole annual dividend instead of the monthly one. While receiving 12 months’ worth of dividends every month  certainly makes my system look much better, it is nevertheless wrong :frowning:

The same error also applies to Isonomy Plus (46575367) - a TLT dividend of $625.92 has been credited, where the true figure should be $52.16.

Regards,

Dean.

Hi Matthew,

It looks like there’s another missing dividend: SPY should have paid out $0.4804 per share on April 30th but I cannot find any record of that being credited to the two systems affected, namely Isonomy (46561754) and Isonomy Plus (46575367).

Please could you look into this as well.

I see it’s fixed, thanks.
