Hello C2 mates,
I would like to ask you a doubt about my strategy and system: TG Management.
I changed the strategy in December, after more than two years of Value Investing approach. Since then I traded SPY futures and options, and I tried to adapt it with many mistakes on the way. After a catastrophic August I am thinking about starting a new system for this Option strategy, now comppletely adapted to the market.
Would you continue with this old system or would you start from scratch with a new approach? Were you in the same situation?
Thank you in advance for your answers or advices.
Regards.
I don’t think changing strategies within the same system brings confidence to your subscribers. I think you should start a new system. Unfortunately, the two years of performance prior to your initial change is now worthless as you have moved away from it. By changing the strategy no one knows what the performance will be or how to judge what you have done in the past. Too many changes creates issues, I think you have to pick a road and be consistent. If you need to change, start a new strategy.
Can I ask, why did you change the strategy after two years?
Hello Simple Swing Trading, thank you for your answer.
Actually the two year performance is one of the reasons to change, as risk and DD is much bigger than the expected with this new approach.
I finally started a new system: TG Options.
Now I need consistency, good results, time and patience. Let’s see how it works.
I would agree with Simple_Swing, changing your strategy doesn’t build confidence with your followers and subscribers. You can always communicate why you created a new system and suggest people move to it.
Also, by creating a new system that is “better”, you have the proof by letting them run side by side.
