Didn’t see this announced anywhere (maybe I missed it?) but anyway I love this new feature MK. Will make vendors think twice before “re-inventing” themselves as some liked to do.
The name of this system has been changed 3 times (View history)
Thanks. Also, a related feature: If you type a name into the system search box, it will find systems that were previously named like what you are searching for. This prevents the problem where people are looking for "Forex Day System" and it has been renamed to "Test Forex System" or whatever.
That’s handy too.
So which system is the worst offender for name changes? So far I found one system that changed its name 27 times (although it looks like many of the changes were either trivial or non-changes).
It wouldn’t be prudent for me to name that system though.
Some good, some bad. Sometimes people not really sure what they want to call (or decide they prefer a different name for) a new system, so they monkey with it.
Sometimes people try to stick "Test" into a system or want to hide problems of a previous incarnation.
I am more concerned about people who monkey with free systems. As Sam said, the fellow who had 477 cocoa contracts and tried to get lucky (he did). He had over 15 diff systems, and the free (up to 5 trade) systems no longer show in his profile. This was asking for people to throw up a bunch of hugely-leveraged fliers, and if one hits, trumpet how much money you made in a short time, while the ones that implode go away…
BTW the name change feature is not accurate. One system that I looked at is listed as having had its name changed 8 times before it was even created.
I suspect that’s a test system where the user has permission to erase his system and start again.
It’s not. A person has permission to erase his system and start again with a test system? Makes sense, just didn’t realize this was the case.
