Not showing dividend payments

My positions of TLAB, CYS and XRTX went ex-dividend but collective2 is not crediting them to my account. I must have obtained almost $5000 dividends, but now my account is showing -25% return for December, instead of +5% profit, which greatly worsening my performance presentation, by increasing volatility and decreasing all trading stats. I contacted the staff twice but I didn’t get answer yet.

Are you looking at the pay date or ex dividend date? I believe the money doesn’t hit your system until the pay date. For CYS, the pay date isn’t until 12/28 and XRTX isn’t until 12/31.

Hi. It is true that money hits in dividend payment date, but meanwhile my account is showing huge loss and all my trading statistics has been hit strongly. There must be some way not to penalize traders who trade dividend paying stocks. My stats shows that I had 25% drawdown and my C2 score fell to 120, it will surely frighten potential clients. Maybe, there should be a line which adds up to equity as expected dividends so that we have a counterpart for capital loss. [LINKSYSTEM_77172431]

Unfortunately, I think this is just part of the game when you’re trading dividend paying stocks. I’m not sure it would make sense to show upcoming dividends as part of your current equity because the dividend dates definitely play a role in the value of the stock on any given date.

Also, I can’t tell if you still hold shares of XTRX, but it looks like you purchased shares on the ex-dividend date. If I’m reading the dates correctly, you would not be eligible to receive the upcoming dividend which seem to be a majority of the dividends you’re expecting. I recommend reading up on dividend dates here: http://www.dividend.com/dividend-stock-library/dividend_date.php

Trading dividend stocks is definitely an art and has it’s own quirks which I’ve learned with my own [LINKSYSTEM_57985735] system.

In any event, good luck!

Hi. I bought XRTX December 21st and sold December 24th. Ex-dividend date was December 24th, so I am eligible for dividend. :). Anyway, thank you for your help.[LINKSYSTEM_77172431]

Ah yes. You are right. I was looking at the wrong stock.

Hi, i am wanting to start investing in stocks and i think it’s a good time because share prices are lower. Can any one suggest me from which company i should start from?
