If I have an open long position of 10 contracts and then double my AutoTrade Scaling Factor, will a new subsequent sell signal double as well, trying to sell 20 contracts?
I guess it immediately applies to new BTO/STO orders, but does the system know which BTC/STC orders to apply the new scale to correctly?

When you change your scaling, your current position will be adjusted to reflect the new scale. So – assuming you increase your scaling factor – you will open incremental quantity at the market price to "move up to" the new scaling factor. Later, of course, any closing trades will also reflect the new scaling.
