Hi Matthew,
When entering a trade, a vendor has the option to input the number of shares they wish to purchase in the "QUANT" field. It would be a nice feature to choose to enter a dollar amount instead of the # of shares.
For example, if I wish to initiate a new position for $10,000, it would be easier and safer to enter that 10,000 instead of trying to figure out the # of shares during a time of high volitility.
My personal broker has this option in the trade entry area.
