System - Eminiglobex

This is a forum for any question regarding the [LINKSYSTEM_55133113] system.

There was indeed a problem with our primary hosting facility this morning, and it apparently caused a service outage at C2. I’m still trying to get to the bottom of it and figure out what happened, and why, and how long it interrupted access to the site.

I apologize for this. I don’t know the details yet, but am trying to figure them out. I’ll share more information as I get it.

FAQ’s

Can you tell me more about the system?

The system uses price, volume, sentiment, breadth and seasonal algorithms to uncover historical edges for the next trading session. The system only enters a trade if conditions exist that historically have a high probability expectancy for the next trading session. The rationale behind the system is that when certain patterns happened in the past they are likely to repeat.

The system occasionally takes day trades. This is placed after the first 30 mins of the day session. The trades will be placed in the opposing direction to the original trade recommendation, normally Dow YM futures. The reason for this is that after trading this method for several years I have identified specific conditions that exist when the system has losing trades. I called these “stuck up” or “stuck down” days (I have also seen this type of trading action referred to as “trend days”). In effect this is another low frequency daytrading system, that when combined with the EOD signals compliments and smooth’s the overall equity curve.

The system never averages down or pyramids.

Can you explain your stop placements?

Stops are placed wide enough to avoid noise and provide enough room for the historical expectancy’s to play out. Risk is managed with position sizing.

Can you explain your position sizing rules?

Like with all systems, position sizing/money management/bet size is critical for success. The C2 account starts with $20,000. This is a conservative position sizing level, recommended for a steady equity curve with tolerable drawdown’s. In reality the system could be traded with a $10,000 account size or minimum margin requirement, however the drawdown’s will be larger. The system trades between 1 - 3 contracts, dependant on the overall volatility of the market and expectancy of signal.

Can I trade this with ETF’s, like spy or dia?

It’s possible, although historically many targets are hit in the overnight session when ETF markets are closed. For this reason it is not recommended.

As your system trades overnight do you have any liquidity issues?

No. Slippage is minimal. The ES emini market is highly liquid. If capacity ever becomes an issue then capacity limits will be put in place

Do I need to monitor trades?

No. The system has been designed with simplicity in mind. The system enters a target and stop at the time of entry. 95% of the time the target or stop loss will get hit. For the remainder of the time the trade will need to be closed a few minutes before then end of the day session.

There are very rare occasions when I will exit a trade intraday for my personal trading, eg prior to a major new announcement. On these occasions subscribers will be notified in advance with plenty of notice.

How do I move this forum (or create a new forum) so that it appears on the first forum page (with the other systems)? As opposed to where it is now, within the "collective2 suggestion, feedback, questions" heading??

Thanks in advance.
