C2ATI development and the TESTCLIENT broker

I have created multiple support tickets requesting “C2ATI development and the TESTCLIENT broker” as it mentiones on their website… But no response. I am doing custom development for my own broker who isn’t on their broker list and I need to receive signals and process those signals. I am trying to request access as described here on their website.

Hi, Chad -

Matthew here.

First - I am very sorry you put in multiple requests and got no answer. That is very bad! I am sorry.

I wish that apology would be the end of the bad news. But, alas, there is more. I am not sure where you read about the C2AT TESTCLIENT stuff (an old page only reachable by google maybe? Or maybe still alive somewhere in the bowels of our web site?)… but we haven’t supported that for over a decade.

The good news (finally, some good news) is: if what you want to do is just build an interface to your broker for your own personal trading, then you can just use the plain API V4 to do the equivalent of what the C2ATI did. That is: you can poll for new signals, poll open positions, etc – for all the strategies you have subscribed to.

Take a look at the new API V4 (it is at: https://trade.collective2.com/c2-api.html ) and if you have questions, post here and someone will try to help.

Ok… so I have reviewed the API guide previously and happy to go that route… I would prefer a web socket of signals much more than needing to constantly request… however I must be missing something, I don’t see what the request is to poll / request new signals? When a signal goes out I want immediate access to get the best entry possible… am I supposed to do this by periodically getting current positions and matching against my own? What API requests are you suggesting I go through to view signals?

Thanks so much for your response!

Chad

BTW, if you are looking for the old information, it doesn’t let me post a link in the forums here but if you simply go to the main collection2 dot com site/api-autotrading you will see all of the old info there that discusses what I am looking for… At the bottom it says: Next steps
