Can u please explain? I am running an automated system and it failed to reverse a position. Can U check?

I have Ninjatrader too and it happened to me twice this morning. I have the software running on a VPS platform (with a 99.99% uptime) and I am still trying to diagnose the issue. It was frustrating, by the time I got the email alert about the outage, I put in the market orders, the markets had traded so far away from my stops. Not good…

That happened to me 3 times yesterday…any ideas if that is fixed?

Sorry for this late response.

Yesterday we had a series of problems caused by the fact that we upgraded the entire C2 site security level to use https everywhere. A great idea in theory, but it was actually stupid because I failed to realize doing this would break old third-party software interfaces like NinjaTrader, TradeBullet, home-brewed C2-compatible software, etc. - which were programmed to use plain http, and did not respect our redirect-to-https directives.

After I saw the pitchforks and torches outside our office windows, we quickly re-jiggered our servers to allow old-style http from C2-compatible software.

I really apologize. This was a bone-headed move, and I know it caused a lot of grief. It was a pretty stressful day here in C2 Corporate Headquarters, too, as we wrestled with the server reconfiguration on-the-fly, during the trading day.

The good news is: The site now uses https everywhere where humans tread, but allows http for software clients.

We’ll be more thoughtful about these sorts of things in the future. Again, I’m sorry.

Hi Matthew: The issue is happening again this morning. My orders to C2 from Ninjatrader platform just got rejected 20 minutes ago. Can you take a look-see?

Ewong - A few more specifics, please. What system id? What was the exact symbol you used? What was the exact signal you attempted? Are you sure you used a proper C2 symbol? (Ninja’s are not the same as C2’s. See collective2.com/symbols for ours.) What was the exact error message C2 returned? What time of day Eastern USA did this occur? Feel free to write privately to help@collective2 if you prefer.
