Definitely too much. I will quit at least some of my startegies and do not paper trade there any more!.
This is it. I bet C2 is using the new pricing as a filter. I also bet 30 or less systems make 90% of their sub fees just like the previous poster mentioned in a different business model, so the rest is just clutter and ties up server time and customer calls.
C2 is perfectly fine with the core 3 dozen systems remaining, because letās face it, there arenāt more than 3 dozen systems that anyone would (or should) subscribe to. So what do we get out of it? Faster fills, better customer service responses.
A win-win for profitable vendors and subscribers. It is a loss for the garbage reallyā¦ And seriously, the raise may be seem huge in % but in absolute value it is still reasonable. Assuming you are a profitable vendorā¦
Honestly, if I were a subscriber, I wouldnāt want a vendor with 4 other systems. That means he is spreading his time and talent too thin. And seriously, do you really have 5 completely different strategies? And they are all profitable? You should be getting them codedā¦
To me it seems as C2 subscribers want high leverage or semi to full martingale systems. Any moderate risk system will at least take 1year track record to attract any subscribers. Thats 1.2k USD to gain some track record (assuming advanced users will use the API).
So, shall I, for the sake of some quick subscriber fee income, code up a system that sells naked upside calls on up days and naked downside puts on down days, 2standard deviation away with maturity 50 - 30 days out? The equity curve will look stellar until the statistical certainty of the margin call hits. But hey then lets just start over againā¦
You can also look at C2 as a competition place provider for vendors. So if some (or most) of the vendors quit because they are unwilling to pay 100-200 bucks extra for their latte, I mean business, that is LESS competition for the restā¦
I agree. I will also quit if not a surge subscribers. Bad idea from C2.
C2 at the moment is doing everything to get the revenue up. If everyone pays a lot of legacy subscriptions this will help. With higher revenue numbers they can ask potential investors for more cash for a piece of the business. Then who cares if there are few new developers. The money is already in the pockets of the original owners who have sold most of their stock.
