OpenECry Server Based AutoTrading Available!

  1. Correct. Our new approach to AutoTrading is to try to simplify, simplify, simplify. So we require account synchronization between the OpenECry (OEC) account and C2.

    2. Because we require synchronization, no non-C2 orders can be allowed (i.e. no "manual" trading in the account).

    3. So, yes, you would need to have two separate accounts at OEC - one for C2 systems and one for discretionary or manual trading.

Although I understand the concerns of Hans, I think this new strategy is the only logical approach to synchronization.

Is the theory that a user’s account will be FORCED into synchronization with Open E Cry and the C2 system??

I am wondering how that would be carried out/enforced… It would be wonderful if it were 100% true, since that is one of the major gripes of autotrading…

Yes, that is the theory (and practice). We force synchronization between C2 systems and the brokerage account.

Matthew:

There is a glitch in your enrollment proceedure. After filling out name, address, etc. I get a system check page. It indicated that I needed .NET. So I downloaded it. Now when I try to get the OECTrader, I have to go thru the name, address, etc. proceedure and I get informed that I already have an account. I’m now in a catch 22. I can’t get to where I need to download the software because I already have an account. But I can’t use the account because I don’t have the software!

OEC’s site has the same issue. I can’t simply download the software w/o starting all over again, but I can’t start over because I already have an account.

Help.

Hans.
