There is a substantial risk of loss in trading. You should therefore carefully consider
whether such trading is suitable for you in light of your financial condition. You should read,
understand, and consider the Risk Disclosure Statement that is provided by your broker
before you consider trading. Most people who trade lose money.
How does a trading system manage to be featured under the ‘strategies making new highs section’. Are there certain criteria that are to be met or is it a random posting of any system that falls into a 14-day, 30-day, 90-day, 180-day, or 365-day high?
Though still a fairly new active system, I have a system that is regularly making new highs and yet I haven’t seen it featured whereas there are systems making 14 day highs that are showing significant losses long term. Is there value in featuring a losing strategy?
I also would like to know how a system gets on the list. Presumably there is some qualifying conditions, as my system keeps making new highs but does not appear on the list
No one pays to be on the “Strategies Making New Highs” list.
(I think you are conflating two separate areas of the Dashboard page: the “New Highs” section is not sponsored. The “Featured System” section, which contains one system at a time, is sponsored; that is, the system owners do pay a fee to appear in the Featured slot. But other than that, no area on the Dashboard requires payment to appear.)
We do not display different lists to different people. There is one list, which - to improve site speed - is cached for a period of time, and then a new list is generated periodically.
Again, the Dashboard is cluttered with systems making new 14 day or 30 day highs. This short term trading performance is statistically meaningless. C2 should be encouraging clients to look at the longer term performance of systems by posting 365 day, 180 day, or maybe life of system highs. Chasing the “hot hand” has led to ruin for many subscribers. Also, longer life systems have been loyal contributors to C2’s revenues…
You can hide portions of the Dashboard that you personally don’t like: just click the gear icon in the upper right corner of the screen. The Dashboard is completely customizable. I happen to find it interesting to see strategies that are attaining new highs. If you don’t, go ahead and hide that portion of the screen.
