There is a substantial risk of loss in trading. You should therefore carefully consider
whether such trading is suitable for you in light of your financial condition. You should read,
understand, and consider the Risk Disclosure Statement that is provided by your broker
before you consider trading. Most people who trade lose money.
I subscribed to $49 plan first and then switched to $99 plan on the same day. I was charged twice and not given a refund for $49 plan. Have others also experienced this? Is there some fine print which says each time to change you won’t get a refund?
I took a quick look at your account to see the details. In fact, you actually are getting extra service for free.
Here are the details.
On July 30, you bought a 1-strategy plan lasting which lasted until August 30. This gave you the ability to trade only one strategy.
On the same day, you upgraded to a 3-strategy plan. C2 tries to be generous in this case. So we just simply tacked on an extra 30 days to your plan, and gave you the higher-power plan for the entire period. In other words, you now had a full 60 days in which you could use three strategies. (And technically, you paid less than what a three-strategy-plan would have cost for the full two months.)
Again, the idea was to be generous, rather than petty.
But no one wants an unhappy customer. If you prefer, we can remove the extra days from your account and do the math to refund whatever the difference is. (If that’s what you want, just dash a quick note to help@collective2.com.)
The only problem is my credit card was charged for $49 and $99. I don’t see any refund. Please check if there is a problem between what your system intended to charge and what was actually charged.
There was no refund, because that’s the way it’s supposed to work. You bought the plan 30 days, then bought it for another 30 days. So, in total, you got 60 days of a high-powered plan, and paid less than you would have normally.
If you want to remove 30 days from your account, write the help desk and tell them you want to remove 30 days from your account and they’ll refund the marginal dollars. You’ll wind up paying more per day, but I understand that perhaps you want to only commit to 30 days for now. Fair enough. Help Desk will take care of you. help@collective2.com
Thank you Matthew. If I may suggest, in subscriptions webpage, similar to recurring subscriptions for algorithms with next charge date, it would be useful to list collective2 charges giving start date, end date and next charge.
