How did your system fare in this sell off?
I turned everything off except for PayOff Matrix. PayOff Matrix is the only strategy that seems to have a solid trade plan with defined profit target and stop loss. He also makes sure Reward to Risk ratio is at least 1:1. My SIM dashboard looks horrible with every strategy in red big time. Looks like most of the strategies here on C2 only works in a bull market. That’s a shame!
Yes…its easy to make money when the markets are going in one direction but when the markets sell off there doesn’t seem to be many out there in C2 that can catch these moves consistently. I had to turn off alot as well!
Good timing if you turned them off in time.
No change for Neural Stark and Commodities strategies. When I saw the market struggle Thursday to get above the 10SMA and then the NFP figure today and it went south, I knew something wasn’t right. I am glad I sat it out. The big question now is if Mutual Funds sold stocks and how much liquidity will they have to pay redemptions. That may force IMs to sell stocks next week. I noticed Bonds dropped into new lows that’s been one of the big issues this week.
WOW thanks @MohammadKabir for the vote of confidence!
I have been sleeping better at night, my ailments have reduced and taking it out less on the family since I started trading Payoff Matrix!
I had a profitable day with a 0.6% gain with NQ FUTURES TIMER today.
WOW @KineticProfits I appreciate all the support and confidence you and all my investors have in me. I am glad to hear that my strategy is having a positive impact overall for you. Thank you.
Hmm…on your strategy page it says the last trade was 8 days ago? Anyways keep up the trading and good luck!
Vix Lite was profitable. Indicators have been flashing short Xiv for several
days. Not going all out.
As you should know, C2 in its infinite wisdom, delays the last trade date by the number of days that a developer does not disclose closed trades. Which is a stupid policy, in my opinion.
I had trades on both February 1st and today.
Oh I see…keep up the good work!
Thanks AlgoSystems!
Maybe C2 can correct that statistic to reflect the actual number of days since the last trade, regardless of how many hours the system developer chooses to hide the closed trades from non-subscribers.
With my system Vix Lite, 9 out of 10 times, I know when Xiv is about to drop, due to my indicators but the timeline may take anywhere from 1 day to 5 weeks which would really mess with drawdown. Something C2 subscribers are not ready for. I got caught a little early shorting Xiv last week but knew better as drawdown is prized here. I’m trying to give them what they want but if it was up to me, I’d go for double the return with a 35% max drawdown. Hey that’s just me.
So modest. Such wisdom.
Payoff Matrix ON ( made us $300+ yesterday ) sat back and watched fireworks today ( popcorn? )
Robert Peterson strategies ( Cash is the King ) ON
Trend/Countertrend ON ( just bought TQQQ w/ 5 mins. left ) 50% scaling… fingers crossing.
Others OFF
LONG bull run. Straight up the last 1.5 years. Makes me nervous.
Was XIV trying to warn us? Falling steadily since the 23rd?
Watch out for failed rallies, lower highs.
Is this another buy the dip situation or has the market turned? Many of the ES systems I’m sub to tried to catch the bottom and got burned hard. Most have taken on massive losses, much worst than last year.
Of course no one knows until it’s over. Does it “feel” different this time though? Good jobs report, low unemployment & the markets get PUNISHED? Interest rates are rising and the market has had its foot to the floor for the last 1.5 years. If subs are nervous about dip-buying strategies in this 9 year? bull, they might want to consider strategies similar to ( if not ) Robert Petersons own, which are geared towards adding to winning positions only, then selling off as they start to fall… At times his vol strategies will be in VXX instead of XIV which will probably be making $ as the market goes down. I know you are familiar with his strategies, but for those who aren’t…
You trying to ruin another thread jealous geek.
